To start your dog or cat on a cooked diet, you should do a transition period, mixing this food with their usual food and gradually increasing the amount of cooked food while decreasing their usual diet.
You should speak to us first before starting a new diet so we can come up with a suitable transition plan.
The daily reference portions are described below, however these portions are only indicative, as other factors, such as the breed, lifestyle and metabolism of each pet, must be taken into consideration.
DAILY PORTIONS:
ADULT DOGS.
up to 3kg: 4% of ideal weight
3 to 5 kg: 3% of ideal weight
5 to 22 kg: 2% of ideal weight
22 to 40 kg: 1.5% of ideal weight
above 40kg: 1% of ideal weight
CATS
3% of ideal weight
For the customized diets, the recommendations regarding daily doses and supplementation provided by the veterinarian must be followed.
